چکیده

Recently, the study of hydrolysates from food proteins has been increasingly due to their wide range biological activities. Hydrolysates contain peptides 2–20 amino acids that are inactive within sequence parent protein, but, once released after proteolytic processes, they exert numerous beneficial health effects. Hemp, non-drug variety Cannabis sativa, is known as an important source bioactive high quality hempseeds protein (20–25%) and well-balanced acid profile. For this reason, during last decade, investigations have searched elucidate effects on these hempseed hydrolysates. The aim review was collect all scientific evidence demonstrated (HHs). Key findings conclusions: HHs showed possess antioxidant, immunomodulatory, hypotensive, hypoglycemic, lipid-lowering capacities in vitro systems. All pointed out future ingredient for development functional foods or dietary supplements useful prevention chronic diseases such metabolic syndrome, diabetes hypertension. However, few studies evaluated vivo HHs. further carried animal models human necessary better exploit use new supplements.

Cucurbitaceae Seed Protein Hydrolysates as a Potential Source of Bioactive Peptides with Functional Properties

Seeds from Cucurbitaceae plants (squashes, pumpkins, melons, etc.) have been used both as protein-rich food ingredients and nutraceutical agents by many indigenous cultures for millennia. However, relatively little is known about the bioactive components (e.g., peptides) of the Cucurbitaceae seed proteins (CSP) and their specific effects on human health. Therefore, this paper aims to provide a ...

Hydrolysates of sheep cheese whey as a source of bioactive peptides with antioxidant and angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitory activities

Enzymatic proteolysis may be employed to release bioactive peptides, which have been investigated for potential benefits from both technological and human health perspectives. In this study, sheep cheese whey (SCW) was hydrolyzed with a protease preparation from Bacillus sp. P7, and the hydrolysates were evaluated for antioxidant and angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE)-inhibitory activities. ...
